How It Works

The Presidium SAM uses a highly sensitive thermoelectrical probe to analyse the thermal and electrical conductivity characteristics of the stone. This allows the instrument to distinguish diamonds from a wider range of moissanites and other diamond simulants.

Its 0.45 mm probe tip makes it particularly useful when testing very small gemstones, starting from approximately 0.01 carat.
